"We needed a security company that could be completely trusted with all aspects of protecting the business. Chiltern Technology proved that they could be discreet and professional, as well as being proactive in suggesting new ways to deal with the protection of our premises and the safety of our employees.”

New Era is the world's leading manufacturer and retailer of headwear, including the company’s signature fitted baseball cap the 59FIFTY. Founded in New York back in 1920, New Era now has 1,500 employees worldwide and designs, manufactures and distributes headwear to all corners of the globe. In addition to their retail range, which consists of over 250 cap designs, they supply branded caps to over 17 Premiership, 12 Championship and 15 Bundesliga football teams.
Chiltern Technology worked with New Era on the design and installation of the security systems at their UK HQ to make it a safer place for employees. Chiltern Technology recommended an access control system with identity badges to manage staff and visitor access. This not only detects unauthorised access, but it also means that the security team knows exactly who is in the building at any time, particularly important in the event of a fire. A CCTV system assists with Health and Safety as well as Duty of Care for employees, with automated and real time monitoring via IP. The cameras provide visual identification and verification of people and vehicles and record any unfortunate incidents in the loading bay or car park, as well as identifying unwanted visitors and protecting high value stock wherever they happen to be on the premises.
Chiltern Technology has also installed an intelligent CCTV system in New Era’s major flagship retail stores in London and Birmingham, to help with stock shrinkage and for increased safety of the staff. The images can be viewed remotely with action taken locally if an incident is spotted.
